Helping to preserve and disseminate our published heritage for today and future generations
The Archive CD Books Project exists to make reproductions of rare, out of print books and records. By working with libraries, societies, record offices and individuals we are making accessible and preserving important historical resources.
HOW THE ARCHIVE CD BOOKS PROJECT WORKS
Archive CD Books (ACDB) borrows or purchases original books, documents or maps. We scan these free and offer benefits to those who loan originals.
These are scanned using specialist book scanners. The page images edited and made searchable and placed onto CD ROM.
They are then released for sale. Then, as we cover the costs of production we can invest in other books and further the project.
Questions and answers are given on the main Archive CD Books web site
